New Royal Bath - Main Spa

The New Royal Bath is a fusion of glass, stone, light, and water. This creates a special setting in which to enjoy a Thermae Welcome (a 2-hour spa session and use of towel, robe & flip-flops). Bathe in two spectacular baths, fed by the naturally warm, mineral-rich waters, and experience our state-of-the-art Wellness Suite.

We have a limited number of spaces available to pre-book for our Welcome package and additional spaces available on the day. Please note that our 2-hour spa session is very popular and we recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. 

When you arrive at reception you will be allocated the next available time slot (subject to availability and capacity). We will give you a paper wristband with an allocated arrival time written on the wristband, please return to reception at this time and present your wristband, payment will be taken when you return.

Children under 16 are not permitted in the New Royal Bath (proof of age required). Based on medical advice, we do not permit pregnant women to visit the Spa if they are past 32 weeks. Due to the enjoyment of other Guests, we ask Guests not to congregate in groups larger than 6.

Open-air Rooftop Pool

By day and by night, enjoy spectacular views over the City of Bath and surrounding hills. The naturally warm, mineral-rich waters are enhanced by air seats and bubbling jets.

Minerva Bath

Named after the Roman Goddess of Health & Wisdom, this is the largest of the thermal baths. Distinguished by flowing curves and grand columns, the thermal waters are complemented by an invigorating whirlpool.

Wellness Suite

This multi-sensory experience combines a state-of-the-art Infrared Room, a Celestial Relaxation Room, an invigorating Ice Chamber, and two aroma Steam Rooms, which use imaginative displays to reflect the spa traditions of the Roman and Georgian periods. 

Springs Café

Here spa users can enjoy delicious snacks and drinks throughout the day. Any food or drinks in the Restaurant are charged to your SmartBand and paid for on exit. Robes should be worn in the Restaurant.

Important Information

• Please note children under 16 are not permitted in the New Royal Bath(proof of age required)

• Towel, robe, and flip-flops are included

• Guests are no longer required to book a Thermae Welcome in advance.

• Guests with Thermae Welcome vouchers can use their voucher on the day.

• Spa Treatment and Twilight Packages still need to be booked in advance by calling our Reservations Team on 01225 33 1234.

• We allow an additional 15 minutes at the end of your spa session for showering, drying hair, etc.

• Guests can book in groups larger than 6. Due to the enjoyment of other Guests, we ask our Guests to not congregate in groups larger than 6.
